Six degrees...

Well, after watching Flight of the Navigator I went and looked up Sarah Jessica Parker on IMDb; I found out that she was born in 1965! No way is she that old. And she is also married to Matthew Broderick--which made me want to see the Stepford Wives (the new one not the old one). She has apparently been married for 9 years (shows how much I keep up with celebrities) which is somewhat impressive for Hollywood. Anyway, so I was reading her profile and it says she was in the originaly Broadway run of Annie in 1977 as one of the orphans--oddly enough. In addition to that Alyssa Milano was also one of the orphans (even more odd, Alyssa Milano apparently played a small part in a movie I once saw on TV called Double Dragons) Then, get this, in 1979 Sarah started in the role of the title character and continued in that part for a year. She was the third performer in the part of Annie in its original broadway run from 1977-1981.

Weird. I had no clue Sarah Jessica Parker could sing.

Anyway, so just to show you how crazy I really am and how my mind works. After looking all this information up about Annie I remembered the educational video I watched in the fourth or fifth grade about menstruation. (I think every girl in the fourth or fifth grade watches that video!) And no these thoughts were not completely unconnected--the video is called "Growing up on Broadway" and has Shelley Bruce (the actress to play Annie before Sarah Jessica Parker) as the host. Anyway, so I looked up the video on IMDb and discovered it was made in 1984--the year I was born! IMDb only has four movies under the headings of "menstruation" and "educational" and this one is the newest one. Crazy. Just why are they still showing this same video in schools?

Edit: ok, so apparently IMDb doens't exacty combine similar headings. "School" and "educational film" and "sex education" reveal more titles--but still this one is one of the newer ones!

Wow. Quite the little trip down actress lane there! And I'm surprised that you remember that "growing up" video. I don't remember a thing from ours. I think I wiped it from my memory as to avoid embarassment!

LOL
